Vintage Patent Plaques ~ Lincoln Logs

$55.00

Lincoln Logs were invented in 1916 by John Lloyd Wright, the son of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. John was inspired to create the toy after observing the interlocking construction technique of foundation logs during a visit to an earthquake-proof Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, which was designed by his father. Lincoln Logs are a construction toy consisting of notched miniature logs that can be interlocked to create cabins, forts, and other structures. Made primarily from wood, the logs are designed to resemble the log construction of American frontier cabins.
