IPlax creates custom patent plaques recognizing patents issued by patent offices throughout the world. International patent plaques can be designed using information from the issued patent, including the patent title, patent number, grant date, inventor names, assignee or patent owner, patent drawings, and other available patent information.
Patent documents vary considerably from country to country. For some countries, the official patent front page creates an attractive plaque display. For others, a custom layout may provide a clearer and more attractive presentation of the patent information.

What Is an International Patent Plaque?
An international patent plaque is a commemorative wall or desktop display recognizing a patent issued by a patent office outside the United States.
Like a U.S. patent plaque, an international patent plaque may include the patent title, patent number, issue or grant date, inventor names, assignee or patent owner, a patent drawing, and other information from the issued patent.
The layout may differ from a U.S. patent plaque because each country’s patent office uses its own patent-document format, terminology, numbering system, seals, and certificates.
Front Page or Custom Patent Plaque?
For some international patents, the official first page of the issued patent can be reproduced as the primary design element of the plaque.
In other cases, a custom design may be preferable. A custom international patent plaque allows the most important information to be arranged specifically for display rather than simply reproducing the patent office document.
Depending on the patent and country, a custom design may include:
- Patent title
- Patent or publication number
- Grant date
- Inventor names
- Assignee or patent owner
- Patent drawing or figure
- Abstract
- Patent office name or emblem
- Corporate or university logo
Can the Patent Information Be Displayed in Another Language?
Depending on the country and the information available, patent information may be displayed in the original language, in English, or in a combination of both.
If special translations, spellings, or formatting are required, the customer can provide the preferred text for use on the plaque. A proof is provided before production so that names, translations, patent information, and layout can be reviewed.

Can International Patent Plaques Be Used in Corporate Recognition Programs?
Yes. Companies, universities, and research organizations with international patent portfolios can use international patent plaques as part of the same inventor recognition program used for U.S. patents.
Plaques for patents issued in different countries can be designed with similar sizes, materials, colors, and branding to provide a consistent appearance for inventor awards or a corporate patent wall.
