Standoff Plaques
Standoff plaques are comprised of a rectangular gloss acrylic plate on which the metal patent image plate is mounted with four circular standoffs These standoffs create an eye-catching ‘floating’ effect, positioning the plaque three-quarters of an inch away from the wall for a three-dimensional look.
The gloss acrylic plate is available in four standard colors: black, gray, clear, and glass green. Custom colors on special order. The image plate are available in silver and gold. The standoffs are available in chrome (bright silver), satin silver, gold and black. The plaque can be enhanced with optional trim plates in bright silver, bright gold, gloss black and gloss maroon.
Standoff plaques are available in four sizes: 9X12 with 7X10 plate, 10.5X13 with 8X10.5 plate, 12X15 with 9.5X12.5 plate, 14X18 with 11.5X15.5 plate.
Custom Series
Custom Patent Plaques are based on the patent certificate issued by the United States Patent & Trademark Office and includes the drawing (when available) and the abstract from the patent front page. Another drawing figure can be used, if preferred.
When there are multiple inventors, you may choose to include one or more of the inventor’s names. Inclusion of the assignee’s name, where applicable, is also optional.
A corporate logo can also be added to the plaque beneath the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office seal at no additional cost. You can choose from the traditional USPTO seal or the more modern color ribbon seal.
Easy Mounting And Alignment!
All mounting hardware is included. If you are mounting your first standoff plaque, just place the acrylic plate horizontally against the wall and mark the four corner holes. Drill 3/16″ holes in the center of each mark and insert a plastic anchor in each hole tapping the anchors to secure them firmly in the holes. Insert the screws through the standoff barrels and into the anchors until the screws are tight. 
Align the acrylic plate holes with the barrels and screw the caps through the plate holes into the barrels.
When you order a second plaque (either with the first order or a later order) we will include a free mounting jig to make it easy to align the plaques in relation to each other. The jig includes cutouts to position against the barrels of a previously mounted plaque and hole to locate the screw holes for the new plaque.
just position cutouts on the side or end of the jig against the barrels of the mounted plaque and mark the holes for the new plaque. The jig can be flipped horizontally and vertically for use on the top, bottom, left or right sides of any previously mounted plaque.
